Hello Friends,

Have you noticed how long the days are lately?

Maybe it's just me, but I find my body waking early—too early—as if the rhythm of dawn is overriding my alarm. We're approaching the fullness of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere and a part of me is wanting to drink it all in as we move towards the milestone of the summer solstice.

Solstice is the moment when the sun is farthest north in our sky. This year that moment happens on Thursday, June 20th at 1:51pm PDT. For those in the Northern Hemisphere, this solstice marks the shortest nights and longest days of the year. (In the Southern Hemisphere it's the reverse).

Solstice is a time to pause, absorb, and reflect as we align the movements of our lives with the rhythms of nature.

This month I'm offering three opportunities to slow into that rhythm including a free online mediation that's open to everyone. I hope you'll join me for one or all three of these special events.

Free Summer Solstice Meditation
Thursday, June 20th 11:00-11:30am (Pacific Time)

Take a moment to pause from the rush of life and tap into the natural cycles of movement and rest with a special summer solstice meditation. Connect to your body's natural rhythms as you're guided through peaceful visualizations, then leave refreshed.

Meditation, Aromatherapy & Restorative Practice
Thursday, June 20th 7:15-8:15pm

Join me for a restorative evening of meditation, connection, and recovery. We'll open with authentic connecting and grounding practices to begin regulating your nervous system, then move into guided meditation accompanied by soothing scents. As you connect more deeply with yourself, we'll ease into restorative asanas and somatic soundscapes. Healing touch in the form of gentle assists will be offered.

Slow Release and Sound Bowls
Friday, June 21st 5:00-6:00pm

Designed by friend and follow yogi Kelsey Lyons, I'll be guiding you through a curated class created to ease tension, calm nerves, and soothe the soul. You can expect a medley of mindful movement, slow stretches, and guided meditation accompanied by the sweet serenade of sound bowls during savasana.

Adult Summer Camp Workshops at Peacebank Yoga
August 10, 1-4pm

Save the date for a three-part workshop that activates and integrates the body, mind, and heart. We'll begin with a series of asanas and therapeutic practices to regulate the nervous system and bring you into the zone of resilience. Then we'll engage your creative spirit through narrative collage and sacred storytelling. We'll end with a guided meditation and soundscape that invites you to reconnect with your truest self and re-imagine who you are and who you're becoming.
